Minatare Athletics

Come out tomorrow night, Friday December 1st and catch our 1st home basketball games of the season as we take on South Platte. Games begin with JV boys at 4:30pm, followed by Varsity girls, followed by Varsity boys. While you are here, be sure to visit the Minatare Booster Club in the safe room for their bake sale and Booster burgers or visit our Concession stand. You won't leave the games hungry! Good Luck to all of our players and coaches and GO BIG RED!!

Minatare Public Schools would like to take the opportunity to wish you all a safe and Happy Thanksgiving holiday. May your tables & hearts be full of wonderful food, wonderful memories, love, laughter and blessings. Minatare Public Schools will be closed Wednesday November 22nd through Friday November 24th for our Minatare families to enjoy the Thanksgiving break with all of their loved ones. We will all return on Monday November 27th at regular start times. From our Minatare families to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!​

Reminder: Minatare will be hosting MAC One Act tomorrow, Thursday November 16th. There is No School for Students Grades Pre-K through 12. Pre-K will have Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday. Friday November 17th is a Teacher In Service day. High School students will still be able to come in from 1-3pm for teacher assistance. No Basketball practices on Thursday November 16th. Friday November 17th-regular scheduled practices at 4 & 5:30PM.

Thank you to everyone that came & joined us for Title I Turkey Bingo. We had an amazing turnout. Congratulations to all of our winners. Thank you to the Minatare Booster Club for providing hot dogs & water, to Banister's Leadership Academy for your attendance & information and DeVonna Tyree-Bowers for providing information about our Special Education department. Thank you to Superintendent Rocky Robbins for calling our Bingo games and Principal Jodi Wolf for assisting. We had a great time.

Tonight's the night! Join us at Minatare Elementary for some good old fashioned Title I Bingo! Come for Bingo, learn about the Title I program and have some fun, all for free! Starts at 6pm in the Elementary gym.

Looking for 3rd through 6th graders at Minatare Elementary, boys and girls, to participate in open gym/basketball activities. Students will have weekly practices and be a part of : Help students become familiar with basketball concepts Develop a team mentality Become familiar with competition Develop a culture of success at a younger age

Parents/Guardians/Athletes: If you will be participating in Winter Sports (basketball, wrestling) High School & Junior High, please attend the Winter Sports meeting tonight at 5:30pm in the Minatare High School Gym.

Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023, when the clock will “fall back” one hour and in theory we get one extra hour of sleep.

Junior High wrestlers competed at Kimball on 10-31-23. The results are as follows: 7th Graders: Roberto Sanchez-Garcia 4th place, Juan Martinez-Acevedo 2nd place, Israel Martinez-Acevedo 2nd place, Adan Perez 2nd place. 8th Graders: Izaiah Lowery 2nd place, Karson Miller 2nd place, Nicolas Calihua-Gonzales 2nd place, Noah Griffee 2nd place, and Crayten Fries 2nd place. Great job boys and Coach William Schwartzkopf.

Minatare Public Schools had the extreme pleasure to host Mike Donahue, the founder & director of Value Up, a Nebraska based motivational company that focuses on positive school culture. If you have never heard his message, or listened to him speak, you should. We could have heard a pin drop this morning while he was speaking to our students and staff. What a pleasure it was to host Mr. Mike Donahue. Thank you for gracing our school with your presence.

Mark your calendars for the Winter Sports Parent/Athlete meeting on Monday November 2nd at 5:30pm in the MHS Gym. If your student/athlete is in Junior High or High school and plans to participate in Wrestling or Basketball please plan to attend.

Join us tonight to help raise funds for our Minatare FFA Chapter and enjoy some bull fries, bingo and bids! All money raised is put towards National, State, & District contests & Leadership events. *Pies to be auctioned off throughout the evening. $15 for Bull Fires, a Bid Card & 5 rounds of Bingo! Starts at 6PM in the MHS Safe room.​

Thank you to everyone that came out today to celebrate Pat Horner's Retirement. Huge thank you to Nadia Martinez for the amazing food (as always) and the great cake. We had a great time celebrating and honoring a man that has worked day in and day out to provide our school with many things for over 18 years. Congratulations Pat Horner.
