The sixth graders have now received postcards from all 49 other states for their yearly Project 50 States! 🥳

Minatare first graders had a robin visit our window for Earth Day. We had already planned to reuse plastic bottles to make bird feeders. What good timing! Be kind to the earth.

The fourth, fifth, and sixth graders got together for Earth Day. They did a small simulation of how oil spills can affect marine life. Each team worked hard and diligently to clean up their “ducks.”

This is a reminder to all Students and Parents that there is a regular school day for grades K-12 tomorrow. We run a 4 day school week and since we did not have school on Monday we will have regular classes tomorrow Friday, April 22nd. After school program will be offered.

Project 50 States has been in progress all year in 6th grade. The sixth graders researched Nebraska, constructed a 5-7 sentence paragraph, edited/proofread a partners, then wrote postcards to the other 49 states. It was fun to see what each student chose to say about our great state.
They are down to missing only one state: Georgia!

Come on down to the KNEB Spring Show at the Weborg 21 Center on Saturday, April 30th and look for the Minatare Elementary Booth. We will be having Open Enrollment for our Pre-Start Program and Kindergarten. Both Programs require a copy of the State issued Birth Certificate (Pre-Start can accept the hospital Birth Certificate), Physical Exam, Vision Exam, and an up to date Immunization record. Pre-Start also needs a Dental Exam. These Items are not required on April 30th, but they are required to start the school year. So come on down and see Mrs. Wolf and get a head start on filling out the paperwork and learn more about Minatre Pre-Start and Kindergarten.

The Minatare first graders are still anxiously waiting for our chicks to hatch. Fortunately, we had some special feathered guests visit our classroom today. We would like to thank the Leggott Family for sharing their knowledge and bringing Basil, Potato and NoName.

The first grade scientists are studying embryology. We are learning how the chicken embryo grows and changes inside the egg each day. In about 7 more days, we will see who hatches!
