
The sixth graders had a special guest today, Army Veteran Tim Lacy came and spoke about his time in the military, why he joined, and more. The students loved hearing stories and trying on the gear he brought along. Thank you for your service Tim.

The sixth graders & preschool had some “Spookley” fun today
together. They read the story “Spookley, the Square Pumpkin” together,
created Spookley crowns, and then finished off with reading books
together with their buddies.

IT'S RED RIBBON WEEK!! Minatare Elementary is celebrating Red Ribbon week with many activities put on by the students of the Leadership Committee throughout the week. One of the ways to celebrate is having dress up days. Please see attached photo for the dress up days. It will be a great week to "Celebrate life living drug free"


To celebrate Fire Prevention Week, the preschoolers and sixth graders buddied up to make edible fire trucks.





The fifth graders of the Minatare Elementary Leadership Team have created a masterpiece. With all of their ideas coming together— animals, t-shirts, and drug free week slogans and sayings, they were able to create this adorable Red Ribbon Week bulletin board.





The first 100 kids will get in free of charge.

No donation is too small (or big). At the end of 3rd quarter, the jar with the most money in it, wins. And that person will be "pied" at the end of the football game.
We will also have an In Honor and Memory of poster for people to sign/dedicate in honor of someone they know or love that has been affected by cancer. It will be at both games. Please help the cheer squad raise money for our local Cancer patients and their families.


The Minatare Elementary Sunshine Committee is selling Butter Braids!! Get yours ordered today! Unfortunately, they cannot ship due to the Butter Braids being frozen. They will be ready for delivery or pick up on November 7th. The Sunshine Committee is a group of staff members who do fun and uplifting things for our teachers and students. In the past, we have purchased T-shirts for all students and staff and we put together things to help boost staff morale and host the Student Christmas store. The bonfire will not be lit tonight! The pep rally will still take place at 6pm on the football field!

Attention Preschool Parents/Guardians, Minatare Preschool will be Hosting Donuts with Dudes this Friday, October 7th @9AM in the preschool. It will be a fun time to share donuts and conversation. If you re a Dad, Uncle, Grandpa, or just a dynamite dude in a preschoolers life plan to come have a good time with them!


CAPWN will be starting to take application for our holiday food and gift program on Monday October 3rd.



Bird Banding in the Wildcats was so much fun! The sixth graders learned a lot, asked awesome questions, and were great learners!





6th graders starting Monday out right by practicing their math skills with a scavenger hunt in the classroom.





Minatare Booster Club will be holding a meeting on Sunday September 11 @ 4PM in the Elementary Gym.
Everyone is welcome to attend and if you are interested in helping them out or thinking about joining now is the perfect opportunity.


**REMINDER** Minatare Public Schools grades K-12 have a regular school day tomorrow (Friday 9/9/22) to make up for being off Monday for Labor Day. Minatare Prestart will not have class tomorrow.
